I have a daughter, aged 3, who likes to paint her nails and wear pretty clothes that make her look like a princess, she talks about getting married and on the weekend she flatly refused to wear anything other than a dress to a football party. My son at 3 just liked to play outside in mud and puddles, make robots and build sandcastles. He could not have cared less what he looked like. We tell my daughter all the time she is pretty.
