Hats Off by Neil Griffiths illustrated by Janette Louden. Published by Red Robin books
Hats Off is about lots and lots of funny, silly different, strange hats. It introduces children to people doing lots of different jobs and roles and it will definitely make them giggle.
I loved the imagination in the text and in the fabulous pictures which really made us laugh and were full of expression and character. The way two very different characters and their hats would interact in the one picture was very clever. I felt that the text was a little clumsy on occasion and didn’t read with complete ease but my daughter didn’t care. She wanted it again as soon as I had finished it, so it was definitely a hit. She loved the surprise pop up at the end and now wants a fascinator for Christmas!
Lots of fun!
