Share

I was very kindly sent a copy of Higgledy Piggledy Jazz by Elena V. Cobb to reveiw after I had stated my son was  a beginner guitar player. What I meant was he knew 2 chords but couldn’t read music and neither can I and unfortunately as such this book was not right for us. So I am going to tell you about it then offer you the chance to win it. We can’t have a book go to waste!

Basically three classical guitar experts Philip Castledine, James Rippingale and Selina
Copley have created Duets, Trios and Quartets for classical guitar ensemble
based on the original ten pieces created in the same series for piano.

The book states that these new arrangements are suitable for players with various levels of ability ranging from Beginners to Intermediate, as well as Advanced levels. The pieces are full of fun and each member of the ensemble will  enjoy playing them in lessons and recitals.
Ensembles can be played with one or more players per part to create a larger The book has a fun and lively child friendly cover with some cute characters on and there is a certificate included in the back for completing the pieces.   Its a lovely looking book not stuffy or grown up an isn’t the name fab too! Just wish I could play it.

This book retails at £6.95. if you would like my copy let me know in comments and  just tell me your favourite childrens song.A winner will be picked at random on November 7th. UK entrants only please.

Good luck!
