Tidy Books (those gorgeous book storage specialists) have a special World Book Day celebration in partnership with Book Aid International, who send new, quality books to Africa to the most disadvantaged children and communities to help educate themselves out of poverty. Tidy Books are really proud to link up with Book Aid International, and want to do their bit as part of their enthusiasm for literacy, and as Book Aid’s strapline says; ‘Books Change Lives’.
They are running a campaign via Facebook and Twitter, and on their blog, asking people to nominate either the book that changed their life, or their favourite book as a child. For every four nominations received on the Tidy Books Facebook page, they will send a book to Africa, via Book Aid. That’s the equivalent of £2 or $3 for every four nominations. As a thank you to everyone who gets involved, they’ll hold a draw to win a Tidy Books bookcase on World Book Day, and there will be a special discount code for those interested in buying.
The campaign begins today Feb 21st, until World Book Day on Mar 3rd. There will be more information on their blog and please do get in touch if you have any questions.
